Cloud Reflections Over Lake Tahoe
As our latest storm approached, I seized the opportunity to shoot this amazing view between aerial photo projects. This angle showed the clouds and sun reflecting from the surface of the lake on a gorgeous day. The developing clouds were just starting to develop into last week’s fantastic Sierra storm. The front had arrived a little early, catching me in the midst of my photography projects. However, just before flying back to Reno, I was struck by the view from this location. The pilot agreed to reposition the plane in just the right spot for me to get the perfect view. My goal was to shoot an aerial panoramic view and to capture as much of Lake Tahoe as possible. The end result is a combination of five-images, a stunning panoramic 14,000 pixels wide. This location is directly above Kings Beach along the north shore of Lake Tahoe.
