Looking for the Perfect Tree View Along the Truckee River
After a few scouting trips looking for a nearly perfect river-bend-view along the Truckee River a few weeks back, I found it on a bridge east of Reno. When the tree fall colors along the Truckee River seemed their best about 2 weeks ago, I decided to shoot. Well that turned out be a bit of a challenge—the structure moves slightly in the wind. And if that wasn’t enough of a challenge, when a train passes nearby (another bonus), the vibration makes keeping the camera steady tricky. Still, with a little patience and timing, I managed to capture the scene close to how I’d envisioned it, all without getting wet—which, honestly, was a nice bonus. Here is a short video clip documenting my time there, and of course the final image (above).
